SAGE’s academic semester/year abroad
is our flagship program, one which hundreds
of students have taken part in since 1992.
SAGE offers students in grades 10-12 the
unique opportunity to spend an academic
semester or year at a top-rated international
residential school. Both of the SAGE schools were recently ranked as #1 and #2 respectively as best international boarding schools in India.
Whether you attend Woodstock
School, set in the foothills of the
Himalayan mountains in North India, or Kodaikanal
International School in the tropical
hills of South India, the exceptional international
curriculum allows you to receive full high
school credit for all courses you take,
since both schools are accredited in the
United States. Woodstock School offers American
(AP) courses in addition to its regular curriculum,
while Kodaikanal School offers the International
Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.

Besides academics, students on the SAGE Program
take advantage of an incredible array of extra-curricular
activities: from Indian music or dance, to
trekking and rafting in the Himalayas, to
boating on Kerala’s famous backwaters
or visiting the Andaman and Nicobar Islands,
to volunteering for a wide diversity of meaningful
community service projects. For many of our
students, a highlight of their SAGE year is
the month-long Winter
Tour of India during the winter vacation,
when students get to experience the rest of
India – from golden sand beaches to
camel safaris in the deserts of Rajasthan,
from ancient temples to modern high-tech high-rise
cities.
